Hi everyone, I may buy a late Remington parker 20 ga and I know their has been a few discussion's on these before but if anyone could just tell me their point of view pro's or con's of these guns I would greatly appreciate it to make a good sound decision. I have read about them in my parker books but never owned one, I don't necessarily need in depth answer's just your heart felt feeling's of these guns. Thanks for time and input, love this web site.

All Parkers are great, they are sometimes just a little different.
I am building a data base of late Remingtons.
PM me your serial number with details and I'll let you know what I know.

No "con" in my view, just a different era.

Remington Parkers are wonderful guns, many being in high original condition.

Remington often put much nicer wood on their VH-/VHE-Grades than this extremely plain stuff from Meriden in 1930 --

My 1936 30" SG #2 frame VH12 is a real beauty and a great duck gun. s/n 239189. Remington really did put much nicer wood on lower grade guns than Parker did.

I would not have any reservations about owning a Rem.-Parker. I liked what Ed said "just a different era."

As I said on a previous post, the Remington gun generally have more modern stock dimensions as well as nicer wood.

And given the relative rarity of Remington guns, in both numbers and years manufactured, they are sought after by most collectors.
