Much Lighter Load, First Shot, Left Barrel, 2 ¾ Dram 2F Black Powder, 1 1/8 oz. 7.5 Shot. These I Could Shoot All Day With No Problem.

Nines would look even better. However, most turkey "guys" would rather you pattern with sixes for penetration, even in the head. Sixes may look just as good on the target.

certainly enjoyed seeing your patterning photos...I'm shooting a borrowed 32 inch F & F this week down in Jacksonboro...and will try to duplicate your range work @ 40 yards and post the results for comparison...

Good luck opening day...I hope you see him!

Good luck to you as well Kent, and very much looking forward to seeing your results. Will you be using black powder shells as well?

No, I won't...not up to purist yet. Just a wannabe. I have a friend who rolls loads for me...he dissected some RST's and has come up a with a pressure-right duplex load combining 4's and 5's that I'm going to try. I'll post the results or send them to you. Go get that gobbler.
