I'm looking at a gr 2 Flues in 28 ga. #216165
I'm wondering if anyone might tell me the original configuration.
I'm concerned that it has been cut.

Well there is something funny going on with the back of the rib there. Looks like the start of a Vent Rib ramp.

Walt Snyder could tell you the original barrel length.

Brian, This is the only other photo that I have of the barrels/rib
I have not seen it in "person" yet.
None of the pics are particularly clear.

Walt isn't writing Ithaca research letters anymore, having sent just about all of his material to the Cody Museum.
What makes you think it may have been cut?
In any case, it's a pretty gun and looks to be in great condition.... I'd buy it if I were you.

Walt should get back to you in a few days, he usually does. He just researched an NID for me.

This is the photo of the bores. Only picture that I have of them. I'm told the "fuzz" is lambs wool for the sleeve.

Fred, this is a picture of the 24" Ithaca 20 ga. I just bought. Yours looks the same... keels and all. The only thing that mine has that I can't see on yours is the thin steel spacer between the tubes. Mine was confirmed to be original 24" length.
