I got my VH 16 gauge back from Kearcher Restorations where they cleaned/ lubed the action and fixed the crack in the wrist of the stock and then spruced up the stock a bit.

Guess now I'll have to get the forend done to match and possibly get the barrels and action looking a little better.

The gun was shipped in Nov 1913 to the Frank P Hall Co in Columbus OH
VH Hammerless 16 gauge choked full/full LOP 14 DAH 2-3/4

Already busted a few clays with it, it points like a dream. This is my first Parker. Looking forward to trying some of the new Rio Bismuth loads in it on ducks this next season.

Thanks to everyone this is a great forum, I have really enjoyed learning all I can from everyone on here.

Hi Fred...you got a nice one there! Great open country gun with the F/F chokes. I really like the VH grade Parkers! Today they are in reach of most working class folks and not that hard to find with the help of the net. They are the same gun as the way more expensive grades and make great guns to hunt with. The VH-16 on the small o-frame are as good as it gets for light upland work...(-: SXS ohio

May the gods smile upon you for not going the "full resto" route! I'd tweek the forend to match, and enjoy this gun for the years to come...

Kearcher did a nice job on it! That's the way a well-used but well cared for Parker should look.

Thanks guys, I'm going to get the forend done to match the stock a little better.
Possibly one of these days I might have the barrels reblued, I will hunt this gun a lot so I just can't justify spending a ton of money on it, I love the look of an older gun that has been used but not abused.

For a shotgun that spent it's life on a Nebraska farm it is in good shape, other than the cracked stock the wood and metal is in good shape with only a couple very very small dings in them.

I'll try some rst spreader loads in it for close in quail work, depending on how they pattern I might get the chokes opened up a bit, as most of my hunting will be over my pointer.

Guess if I don't spend to much more on it that will make it easier to buy another Parker, possibly a 12 or even a 10 for ducks!!
