Does anyone know how many were made? From what years, top lever or any lifters?

Thirty of the fifty six 20ga. hammer guns were 0 Grade top levers.
There was one Dollar Grade in 20ga. (obviously a lifter)
Five 0 Grade lifters
One Grade One Top Lever
Four Grade 2 Lifters
Six Grade 2 Top Lever
Three Grade 3 Lifters
Five Grade 3 Top Lever
One Grade 4 Top Lever, with Titanic Steel Barrels

One of our members displayed his beautiful Grade 3 Top Lever 20 Ga. at the 2013 Annual Meeting.

As Edgar said, there were some 20ga Hammer guns displayed at the 2013 Parker Annual Meeting. Here are a few of the pictures I took for the Parker Pages, and the descriptions they provided.

Grade 2, 20ga Lifter with Factory 29" Laminated Steel Barrels on an "O" Frame. Manufactured in 1879 and still in original condition today. This gun is 1 of 15 in all grades, and the only one with 29" barrels.

According to The Parker Story, only two twenty gauge lifters were made with laminated steel barrels in Grade 3. This is the 28" gun.

As Edgar pointed out ,there are 56 , 20 Ga. Hammer Guns in total ,has there been any documentation of how many are known to exist at this time and what do you suppose the odds are of finding one ????? Similar to winning the Power ball Jack Pot !

About a year ago I seem to remember a 20ga hammer gun selling at one of Julia's auctions. Does anyone remember what it was; was it a lifter or top action and what grade?

Jim Kubaka bought a 20ga lifter from the Jim Parker collection at auction but it was longer than a year ago.

Right... Jim Kucaba willed that gun to his best friend, Tom Latham and Tom sent it to me in the hope that it could be entered in the People's Choice at the Annual Meeting along with more than a dozen other twenties. It arrived at my house after I left for the AM but he told me to keep it and bring it to any PGCA events I was going to attend. Some folks here in the Northeast got to see it while I had it. It was a VERY unusual gun and it had some very unusual features that defied its grade. Certainly a unique Parker.

It was a bit more than a year ago, and was a grade 3, bought by a member. I believe it was at the 2013 Annual Meeting

Thanks Edgar. Do you remember what type of action it was?

I can't say for sure, Robin. I think it was a lifter, but lately, my mind is elsewhere. Maybe the owner will chime in.
Russ, I know I'll never have one, but I have a few 0 framed 16s, and I can pretend. One is coming back from Brad B. today, and I'm like a kid on Christmas morning.

I know where five of them are, maybe six.. I am pretty sure the most recent one sold at Julia was a lifter.grade three. The is also a stunning A grade, dollar grade, underlever that was first seen in Sanford bout five years ago.

Gary, have you had your inner ears checked for the cause of the vertigo?

edgarspencer

Drink Ginger Ale. Eat Ginger spice cookies, anything to get Ginger into your system. Good thing about dizzy spells, in the absence of any inner ear issues, they usually go away.

Edgar, I went to the Doc and I have a pretty tight head cold for a week or so, he thinks that is the cause, I have been putting my head over the edge of the bed and using a vibrator on the bone behind the ear for two minutes and then set up quickly three times each side just started this today, but will start drinking some canada dry ginger ale, and drinking some ginger beer, thanks Gary

Go far a ride in a corvette, that will fix you up.

Mark someone suggested a golden shower, think I will pass on that one!, as for the corvette ride, maybe, but think I will let it run its course, I have tried several suggestions from neighbors in the Park. Let me tell you hanging upside down from a palm tree gets you weird stares! Gary

Gary, your symptoms are classic of someone going through withdrawal from not finding enough high grade Parker hammer guns.

I love those Parker under lifters!! That 20 is the prettiest one I've seen so far.
