It would appear to be spam that provides a link to may or may not be malicious software. I believe it is best to not open it and DO NOT click on the link provided. John Dunkle will be along shortly once he see this and will clear all the PM's opened or not from everyones mailbox.

Just got it and deleted same. Had this happen a few months ago. Sure looks official, but I don't take chances these days, I fried a computer about six years ago opening and email from a friend that he actually hadn't sent me. I should have none, as the topic was something he would never have been part of.

I deleted it!
This site is a target for the anti-virus software scam. If I don't know the sender AND the subject isn't relevent to me, I DELETE!!!

DELETE IT!!
Worse part it would appear that sombody has done a good job at lifting or hacking the email address off this site.
It contains a Malware infection desigined as a rootkit and takes over your computer in a plishing attempt to get you to purchase their fake app.

I also got the same weird message via e-mail. How did these people get our e-mail address, what other data have they mined from this site? If it's not the gum-it, it's the hackers.

I recieved it also, opened it, and my virus protection told me it was a fake site.
Subsequently, I did not proceed.

Hi folks,
OK - I just reprogrammed the usergroups on this site.. From now on -
EVERY NEW REGISTERED USER will have to make one post BEFORE they can use the Private Message Feature....
That means - if you haven't posted on the forum yet, please do so - and your PM feature will be automatically updated within one hour of that first post... You might try the:
New User Introductions Forum (http://parkerguns.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=6)for your first post.. ;)
Best to all!

What ever you do. DO NOT OPEN THAT LINK!!!!!
I opened it by mistake and it took over my computer. It took me three hours to get rid of it. It's a nasty one.

I openned it on my smartphone Droid. I think it just stopped because my Droid has a unique op system. I think I lucked out.
