I just finished reading Robin Lewis' article in the current Parker Pages, "Intro To The Parker Gun - 101". I thought that was one of the best pieces of information I've read concerning these guns. Especially insightful was the treatise on barrel wall thickness and shootability. Robin laid out the facts and didn't rely on the old myths and conjectures. I know a lot of time, effort and thought goes into writing like this but, I'm hoping to see him follow up articles on other areas of the gun. Thank you Robin Lewis!

Thanks Mike, As I sated at the beginning of that article, the information is a summary of the information in the FAQ section of our web page.
The FAQ list took several years to evolve and there is some good information there for those with web access. I selected the FAQ's that covered evaluation and technical information that seemed approprate for my task. This article was the easiest I ever did because it was mostly a cut and past precess using the FAQs for the main text.
There is more information in the FAQs than in this article; like the one referenced in a recent thread about putting on a forend that didn't seem to want to go back on. As forum posts were made that I thought would be good reference in the future, I created a FAQ and saved the information for it to be quick and easy to find.
I can't take credit for knowing any of the information in the article, it all came from this forum. I just collected it as it came to light.

But you took the time to put it together for us and for that we thank you.

Robin is multi-talented and, for those who haven't been members for very long, has worked hard for the benefit of the PGCA. He has truly been an asset and a good friend of the PGCA.
