Dave Dwyer was trying to buy all or part of 28 gauge 241468 a while ago. There was some discussion about this gun and its mismatched parts and the fact that Larry Baer sold some parts from this gun. It is reputed to be a two barrel set. I didn't buy any of the parts, but have heard about some since the sale by Baer. Dave, what is the story and where is the gun?

I posted a question about this gun on the old post that discussed this gun. We'll see if we can get a reply there.

The gun is not mine , yet. I have "first refusal" on it so will have to be patient.

David, I haven't touched base with you on this gun for a year. What is the latest?

It still resides in CA. A good friend just traded a nice CHE 12 ga for it. The past owner did not want to sell it but fell in love with The CHE 12 ga .The owner of the CHE did not want to part with it but.... It will end up in SC eventually.

Any news about the second set of barrels or the forend? When I last heard of the forend, it was being sold for short money. It is not off the radar, but the barrels may be lost, at least to me.

Those barrels must be out there somewhere. I can only assume they are 28 gauge, but .410 is a possiblity.

I don't know who has this gun, but whoever does has a hot item! What is the grade of the gun, out of curiosity?

In the other thread I think somebody mentioned Whitworth. That should make it a AA

How do I find the fore end?

A little late for Whitworth barrels. I'm sure the forend, maybe the barrels, can be traced through Baer's records.

You're absolutely right - what was I thinking!
