i wanted to say hello and thanks for having such a great site!
Several years ago I was bit by the parker bug when an old grouse hunter sold me his 16 ga Trojan. It was completely redone in the late 60's, although not to original specs but to his liking for a upland field gun, new wood with beaver tail fore arm, modern stock dimensions, forcing cone work and chokes opened up to skt1 skt2
I had no idea what a Parker Bros. Shot gun was At that time, but I knew I liked the way it looked and mounted. That gun got me started on reading everything I could find on these guns, and buying they occasional gun when I could find and afford it. Back then I hunted ducks, geese rabbits, pheasants and a few quail, always with a Parker, and usually with that first 16 ga(it shoots were I look) over the last 15 years my hunting has turned to grouse and woodcock, and the occasional pheasant. Two years ago I bought a Huglu 28 ga SxS for this, and although this gun performed very well I missed having a Parker in my hands. That all changed about a month ago when I bought a repo 28 ga. I had no idea how lovely these little guns are, and now have the Parker passion stirred up in me again, especially after finding this site.
I look forward to learning even more as read through the threads on your boards.

Welcome. This is the best site of its kind. Glad to have a fellow hunter on board.

Yes, Welcome!
I have a couple of Repro 28's and really like to carry one in the grouse coverts.

Welcome from a fellow Buckeye. Although I live just across the river in Wheeling, Wv. now, I work/play and own an old farm in Ohio. I am also a 16 ga fan and have a VH, GH, and DHE 16. Shot pheasants this weekend with the VH 16 in Ohio.

Yup, many of our members own and shoot the 28 gauge Repro, me included. You are in good company. If you can figure out how to post pictures, we would like to see your Repro in the Repro subforum.

Thanks for the welcome guys, I will take and post some pics of the repo tonight. I am also going to dig out some of my others and take some pics and enter serial numbers to determine manufacturing years. Like I said the addition of the repo 28 and your forum have gotten me exited about these guns all over again!

Hey, we love bird dogs too, so post some pictures of your pup and Parkers in the Hunting With Parkers forum. Some great people here, and very knowledgable. I have been lucky to have been able to meet, break bread, and break clays with quite a few since I joined. Welcome to the family.
