How do you apply for a doubles pin? It has been a VERY slow duck season in western NY so far but I managed a nice double on mallards with my CHE Bernard 12ga today and figured I have been working so hard for ducks this year I should reward myself with a doubles pin. Thanks Craig:)

Congratulations! Now you need to send a photo or two to Parker Pages with a short story.
I got two doubles in the 2012-13 season and am hoping to get another one or two this season.

Great CHE Craig!
The five ducks on the floor plate look perfect in that horizontal picture...... all 5 are about to splash down! Now that would be worthy of a pin.

Mary got back to me already, she is the best!!! Wow! The CHE is just an older shooter but I really like the old girl.

My Lab Lucy saved my butt. The first bird looked like it went down hard so I moved to the second bird. However, the first bird hit the water heads up and swam into the cattails. I sent her to the cripple first and she nailed a lively bird. The second bird fell about 40 yards into some swamp loosestrife. I was able to handle her to the second bird and she found it dead. Made my day.

Way to go Lucy! If you are like I am Craig, there is nothing to compare to seeing your dog with a bird in their mouth on a retrieve after you've made a great shot. As they say, a day without a dog is just an armed walk in the woods. Wear your pin with pride.:)
