Election of PGCA Directors will be held in the spring of 2015. The terms of Josh Loewensteiner and Dean Romig expire in 2015. Josh Loewensteiner has decided not to run for reelection. Dean Romig is running for reelection. The two nominees receiving the highest number of votes will be elected to three-year terms. In the event of a tie vote for one or both positions, a runoff election will be held as soon as possible thereafter. The terms of Larry Frey and Mike Kobos expire in 2016. The terms of Jim Hall, Bill Mullins, and Tom Wooden expire in 2017.

Nominees for Director must be Life Members of the PGCA and be willing to run for election. If you would like to nominate yourself or someone else, please notify one of the three members of the Nominating Committee, Frank Sweeney at 214/341-9421 or franksweeney1@att.net, Charlie Herzog at 573/883-5620 or caherzog123@gmail.com, or Jeff Kuss at 219/464-3822 or jkuss1@frontier.com as soon as possible, but no later than January 5, 2015. Nominees will be required to furnish a brief biographical sketch no later than January 15, 2015 for publication in the Parker Pages and to accompany ballots mailed to Life Members.

As only life members can be nominated for a position on the board is there a list available of the life members?

Rich,
To my knowledge there is not a published list which gives the membership status of each member. I thought perhaps the roster which came with our spring issue of Parker Pages had that information but it dose not. I will suggest to the BOD that for those members that allow their info to be included in the next roster that we include a line with membership status. If anyone has a question about a members status they can PM me and I will check it and let them know.

I would hope that anyone considering nominating someone for a position on the Board first contact that person and see if they are willing to accept the responsibility's that comes with the position. We are a working Board and each member has to be willing to donate considerable time and resources to the job.

I would like to personally thank Josh Lowenstiner for all he has done for the PGCA over these past several years. Not only was our Secretary, tasked with recording and filing minutes from every meeting and storing all the important documents for the Organization but also acted as Events Chairman. Each major event held over the last few years was organized by Josh including blocking hotel rooms, selecting caterers, and all the other jobs that normally get taken for granted when an event runs smoothly. My only hope is that we can get someone equally as talented and dedicated as Josh as that's what the PGCA needs to continue to function as well as it does.

Incidentally, when you contact the person you are planning to nominate to ask if he will accept your nomination, you can ask that person if he is a life member...

Also, in Frank's second paragraph, we are instructed to first contact one of the three nominating committee members to notify them of our intent to nominate someone... I'm sure each of them has a list of life members that they refer to.
