I noticed recently that several of my Parker barrels are very tough to clean out all the powder residue from shooting even after cleaning with bronze bristle brush and Hoppes as well as other solvents. There always seems to be a streak left in the barrels after cleaning. I pulled down from my self one day an old can spray can of G96 un Treatment that I've had for years but never used. I then took a couple of wire strands from a Frontier Pad that I had and wrapped them around the bronze bristle brush. Sprayed the interior barrels well with G96 and worked the brush through multiple times and then ran multiple cleaning patches down the barrels. Looked down the barrels and Voila, they were spotless. Cleaning patches showed stubborn powder residue. I'm assuming that the few strands of Frontier Padding did the major work to 'scrub' and loosen the remaining residue with a little help from G 96. But my question and concern is this: Will using a few strands of a Frontier Pad wrapped around the brush ...will this in any way be damaging to the barrels interiors over time? Is this method ok to repeat?

No worries Allen. Those pads are great.
What is G 96?

I have used G96 for the metal on my guns for 25+ years and swear by its ability to preserve metal!!!

G96 is great stuff. I always have two cans started. One on my gun bench, the other at my bicycle maintenance rack.

I wrap quite a lot more of the Frontier Pad fibers around a bronze, brass, or copper brush and mount it in a modified aluminum cleaning rod attached to an cordless drill and scour the bores this way. It is impossible to damage your bores by doing this.

I was amazed at how well the few strands of a Frontier Pad scrubbed the inside of the barrels and gave them a mirror like finish. Thanks everyone for the feedback. Will continue to use as described.

If you call the Frontier Pad company and buy a dozen you will be surprised how cheap they are. Then you have Christmas presents after you hoard a half-dozen for yourself.

Nope, not true. Check eBay, Galazan's, Puglisi's Gun Emporium, and several others for used stocks and forends. The hard part is finding one that fits... Or you could have a nice new one made.
