I met up with PGCA member and friend Harry Collins this morning at Elk Creek Lodge in OWENTON, KY for a friendly round of sporting clays and discussion about Parker's. Harry knows Parker guns and he knows how to shoot them very well. He brought his VH 20 gauge and I brought my GH 20 with damascus barrels. Harry is the kind of guy that if you get to shoot with him he makes you a better shot. PIC 1 is Harry smoking another pair. Pic 2 is me trying to shoot like Harry. Pic 3 is our beloved Parkers. We would like to get some local area Parker guys to come out and meet and shoot with us sometime. Let me know if you would like to be included.

What a fun day! Mike brought along John to shoot with us as I had my friend Shelby. A great foursome even though our friends were shooting over and under's. Shelby is an attorney and a client had given him a Beretta SO with sling swivels and double triggers. He didn't shoot it well so I convinced him to let me take it home to clean it and mike the barrels. Full and Fuller! What I really wanted to take home was Mike's little GH 20 with Damascus barrels. It was like having a 30 year old girl along, I couldn't keep my eyes or hands off.

Harry, a Beretta SO with double triggers and swivels is a real classic. Have your friend send it to Briley for a set of 28 gauge tubes with screw in chokes, so he can enjoy "hitting the birds". The installation of 20 gauge tubes requires the drilling out of the 12 gauge chokes, so 28 is the only good choice. By the way, I ended up with your old #4 frame D Grade hammer gun after our friend and PGCA member George Blair passed away. I'm sure you will be glad to hear that it is still close to home. If you have any questions about the Beretta, please contact me.

I had a solo day of busting clays on a rough gravel bar on a river south of Fairbanks. Nice sunny day and a lot of clays got dusted. Forgot to take my camera, unfortunately.

So sorry to learn of George's passing. That old 4 frame is in my aviator and has accounted for its fair share of duck and geese under my stewardship. My thoughts and prayers for George and his family.
