Went to Hofwyl Broadfield Plantation historic site near Brunswick, GA yesterday. It is an old rice plantation and the last heir left it to the state when she died in the 70's or 80's. Anyway, they had this new display up - a Parker PH 16 gauge as well as some photos and stories of hunting "back in the day". Kind of cool. Notice the photo in the background the lady is holding the Parker.

That's a great example of the difference in attitudes between the left wing liberal state of Connecticut, and the more conservative state of Georgia.
It's unlikely you would see a firearm within reach up here, let alone with a handful of shells. They are even talking about putting the Colt collection, in the State library, back in the vaults.

I think the muskets displayed on the wall of the governor's office at the state house here in Massachusetts have trigger locks on them... or they did at one time in the early 1990's

This Parker does not even have trigger locks and the ammo is right next to it. The ammo was cool too. Note the old ammo box too. I was about to ask them for the serial number and volunteer to get a research letter for them. It was a nice one too . . . barrels were uncut and looked like a good light upland gun. Hard to get good photos with my camera phone.

Mills,

Thanks for sharing that with us! Your photos are excellent considering using your phone indoors with who knows what for light!
