Looking for the following parts for a Lifter mfg 1874 (sn 2831): left side hammer screw (currently incorrect screw); also both butt plate screws are incorrect.

I have used hammer screws and also used buttplate screws.

The buttplate screws were timed originally, so there is no guarantee for a proper fit using used ones.

Brian: I would think that timing buttplate screws should be easy. Wood and adheasive should be all that is needed. It is not like removing metal from the bottom and top of a receiver screwhead. Am I wrong? Bob

Fitting buttplate screws on a steel buttplate is just like fitting screws on a frame.

One of the tricks of fitting used buttplate screws is to get the correct angle. This may require filling the original holes in the wood and re-drilling them to the exact angle required. This will still not guarantee a perfect fit - or even a good fit - but it is a start.
