I am going to an auction and I see they have a 10 guage double on the lot. The serial is 31849. Also see some foxes and Ithacas.

Is it s valuable or desirable gun? Not sure on a hammer gun. Look to be in great shape.

Tom, its value depends on grade and condition. Its desirability to you depends on what you intend to use it for. Rule of thumb is that value goes up as the gauge goes down... that's a generality but if you like it and it 'speaks' to you and you think it will fill a need then go ahead and buy it.

yes if you buy it for a shooter the big ten will be a better long range gun in most cases...charlie
