I see where this 16ga Trojan brought $3800 with fees, etc. It's a nice one for sure, and congrats to whoever got it, but I have to ask...what makes this gun worth nearly four grand?

I was watching that one too and from the pictures and description it looked nice but what makes it worth that is a willing buyer.

Trojans with significant colors are hot items. Remember, the ex Ed Muderlak 12 gauge Trojan sold for over ten grand at auction.

We shot with a guy at Hidden Hollow who had an as new Trojan, I think it was a 20 ga. but may have been a 16 ga.

Hi Chris,
You and I shot a round or two at hidden hollow and I believe it was my trojan 16 guage you just mentioned. If you remember there was a small chip out of the buttplate but other than that it is the highest condition parker I own. Thanks for remembering it and I hope to see you at hidden hollow next year.

Austin,

If possible would you please post some photos of your Trojan?

Mark

That was a particularly nice Trojan, but I was surprised it hammered at $3500.
I have said this for sometime now; I believe, in percentage growth, the Trojan will outpace most of the upper grades. They have largely been ignored, while the others were being gobbled up. Now, good examples of upper grades are scarce, and people are looking at Trojans more seriously.
Austin's Trojan was one of the nicest I've seen, it's too bad he wouldn't take it out and actually discharged live ammo from it. Guy doesn't deserve to own it.

"guy doesn't deserve to own it" Now that just hurts. I'll tell you what I'm gonna do. Just to show ya that I'm a regular guy I'll bring the gun with me to Hidden Hollow next year I'll let you shoot a round with it. Can we be friends now.

Mark,

I am not very knowledgable with how to post photos. Any help you can give me would be appreciated.

Who knows if I'll even be around next year. We can be friends today if you send me the gun.

Condition, condition, condition. Those are the three reasons any Trojan will bring an unusually high price.

Austin's gun is the one I'm referring to, very nice. Glad to see you joined the club, did you sign AJ up too? If you know how to email pictures I can post them for you. ctravinski@yahoo.com

I have a pretty nice little 20 gauge Trojan that I bought 20 some years ago. I paid top dollar for it, but it is a nice gun. In all those years, I used it once, on a quail hunt.
No parker collection is complete without a Trojan.

Different topic, but a Fox Sterlingworth 20 Gauge ejector was sold by Iron Works in Pa two weeks ago for $7,500. It was represented as new condition. Just like the old saying in real estate "location, location, location" in guns its "condition condition, condition".

That is a nice Trojan.

It's very nice, only the slightest signs of edge wear. Austin was nice enough to take it out of the case 10,000 times to show everyone Frankie could round up. You would need to find one still in the wrapper to top this one.

Chris, thank you for posting my trojan photos for me. By the way, Steve Cobb holds a shoot at Ernies every year on the weekend after Labor Day. It's not restricted to SxS guns but alot of the shooters attending this shoot use them. If you have never attended this shoot send me a email and I'll give you all the details. Last year we even had a pigeon ring event.
