If someone can help with VH s/n 132835 it has a remington return 3 but I can't read the date code. Thanks

Even if the complete Remington codes could be read it wouldn't do any good. There are no records of repairs or services done to Parker shotguns. A research letter wouldn't even help.... there are just no records of these repairs or services.

Further, 132835 is not listed in the 28 gauge tables at the end of The Parker Story. It is possible that the gun began life as a 20 gauge and a set of 28 gauge barrels were fitted to it at a later date.

A PGCA letter will tell the tale of the original gauge and configuration of the order for the gun but not the repairs. Sometimes the Remington work is rather obvious. The stock book entry for this gun is apparently not available, but the order book entry seems to be in the PGCA records.
