Fellows This is an interesting gun to say the least, First the gun is shown in the Parker Story Vol 1 Pgs 239,240,241, It has gold plate trigger screws, and a very unusual fore end latch for this grade, It latches like the later Trojan. A member of this board bought this gun for a gentlemen 35 years ago and he says the gun was like that then, I have several photos so you can see what I am talking about, ser # 4723 do not think I can get a letter have not looked, enjoy Gary

The forend latch system has obviously been modified (non-Parker Bros.) ... but by whom and for what reason?????????????
Actually, the current forend latch system isn't like the Trojan latch system at all.

Dean, Look at photo # 4, the motif on stock and fore end are identical, I have put the gun away will try to get more photos later, If you look where the slide pin used to go in the fore end you can see it has been replaced with a solid shield " silver, also the fore end tip is silver with the same motif, the fore end also has what I believe to be the checkerer or the stock makers name G Beecher, I have several Parkers with his name on the fore end, I believe that Parker did the work because the fit is perfect, I do know the fore end is original to the gun, you are right is is not like the trojan at all, it has a very neat spring assembly that holds the lever out, who did that I also do not know but would think the design was ahead of its time, Maybe chuck can shed some light on this mystery, Gary
