I finally got it off layaway ! She made a long trip from Cody Wyoming to south Georgia . Locks up tight I think she weighs 9 & 1/4 lbs or so maybe 9.5 lbs Cant remember . It a real beaut in person shoots nice . It is about 1" longer than my Bonehill in lop but I cant even notice it lol . I paid 1050$ with shipping from what I read on the doublegunshop E.C,Green was a best quality maker and sold a o/u patent to James purdey & sons . Serial is #34xx I believe . Overall im happy with it though .

PS the barrels look Longer than 32" because they have a lot of taper to them .

Wayne you better believe ive shot it :p . I havnt shot it much though because im holding on to my 4 boxes of rst ammo . They are sold out and God knows when they will have anymore . But I ordered some gaugemate golds 10 gauge to 16 ga adapters ,plan on getting some rst 16 ga ammo to tie me over till they have 10 ga ammo again . The stock is considerably thicker than my 10 ga bonehill ! . I like the grip on the green better its more of a closed grip and the bonehill is more open griped . Still keeping the bonehill though since it has thick walled barrels it weighs 10 lbs 2oz ! with nice bores . The Green is a better looking gun though no doubt And the barrels don't require a oil change daily lol . The bonehill has to be oiled once a day since they don't have a finish on them . I might buy a 3rd double next month but really thinking about getting the EC green Restored by Brad B . sometimes the firing pins get stuck on the extractor , Like my bonehill the springs that hold the firing pins back until the hammer hits them need replacing . But its a minor thing to me . I bought it from Hans who runs the Cody dug up gun museum , Hes a good guy to do business with and lies to talk guns . He has a nice colt 10 ga but it has 30" barrels :crying: .

Not sure on the Year all I know it was made before 1898 and probably after 1880 . I know Edwinson didn't produce high numbers of guns , Ive read because they were hand made and not machine made . I have seen a EC Green that had serial #65 it was a pinfire gun .

Charlie maybe someday , but im thinking of loading buckshot for deer season if theres any load data for say a 1 oz load of 000b @ 1200 fps or so but that's another topic haha . Ec green only had one exclusive importer from my understanding . Agents G&A Hayden of Jacksonville ,Ill . Also read there was a fued between E Green and Webley over the patent of the top break revolver which they both made but with a few different features .

Let me know how the gauge mates work out. Thought about ordering a set my self. I think we need to get together and shoot 10s one day.
