Please refer back to my previous postings about a 12 VH with Briley Tubes- The gentleman sold that before I could re-contact him- $750.. cash. But besides the 12 DHE 30" DT serial number range 135xxx that was refinished 20 years ago by the DelGrego Gunsmithing Co. (which, at 3K I couldn't quite swing)!!

I did buy his 12 Trojan all original 28" DT serial number 21144 for an even $500. The fine reference tables on this Forum indicate this was made aproximately 1925-- has the original uncut stock with the std. 14" pull from front trigger-- with plain lined black plastic butt-plate, pistol grip but no black cap, plain breech w/o the "dolly's-head" extension that is on my 12 VHE, 90% barrel blue, all screws in line and un-boogered, and about 50% of the factory issue color hardening on the receiver. The only problem- the forearm is stuck into position very tight- is it necessary to remove it to clean the barrels and action in the receiver? If so, how often, and what is the best procedure for removing a tight forearm without doing damage to this fine shotgun??

Contact Dean Romig for the acquistion of a valuable tool for removing trojan fore ends without breaking them or marring the barrels. Jim

"Valuable" in that it is indispensable, not costly. $6.50 plus $1.50 shipping.

Shoot me a PM if you would like one.

Best, Dean

Nice to see that you've celebrated a communist holiday by exercising your capitalist opportunities. Especially with a Parker.

Thanks to all, although I didn't realize that May 1st. was a communist event or holiday. I took a length of 9/16" soft pine dowel and sanded it to a taper, used that and it worked great. Would it be possible to see some photos of the $6.50 tool here? Thanks!!

Thanks to all, although I didn't realize that May 1st. was a communist event or holiday.
It isn't as much a Communist holiday, as it is a Socialist holiday, much the same as Labor day is over here. It's only been a Socialist holiday since the late 1800s, but has been a traditional Celtic holiday for about 500 years, and not to celebrate the laborers, but to celebrated the arrival of spring.
