I had a very pleasant S Dakota pheasant dinner with Ron Gebhart and his family here in Fairbanks last night. You know you are a special guest when an Alaskan shares his hard-won lower 48 pheasant with you. He has joined the PGCA and since he lives a bit further north in Fairbanks than I do is, I think, our new furthest north member. He grew up in South Dakota and has killed a bunch of pheasants with his $85 O-frame VH16, I think. I think he'll be a forum regular from now on.

Please extend a big "Welcome!" to Ron for all of us.

I think he's on daily soaking up the abundant knowledge and help available here and will likely comment here at some point today. He has an abused V-grade that needs stock repair and will likely send it to Brian. A replacement was quoted at $2500 from elsewhere. It can be repaired relatively easily.
