Folks:

Found this nice original tin in pristine condition and thought it would be a nice addition to the collection. I was surprised to open the tin and find percussion caps inside. Probably less than the 1000 advertised........ Any input on scarcity and value would be appreciated.

Mark, I sold mine for 200 last year and it was in just about the same shape and it did have half the primers in it. What's in you tin looks like percussion caps not primers though. Nice find.

Mark, I sold mine at the Baltimore Show 2 years ago for $175. There were no primers in it and it was about in the condition of the one you are showing here.

Bill, are they still available somewhere? I would be fine with a repro to put in a case

My comment about "reproductions" was not meant as a comment about Mark's tin, only a message for those still searching for one.

Reproduction label on an old tin on ebay.com as we speak. The seller describes it as a reproduction. It is up to $58.00 this morning. Will it be a repro next time it is sold? As I posted earlier, "Buyer beware."
