I'm new to the Parker scene. I just inherited my grandpa's Parker 14 gauge side by side. I have been researching everything I can get my hands on in regards to the 14 gauge, but there isn't much out there. I'm curious with it's history and value. I will post some pictures soon. Any help would be appreciated. Excited to be part of the group.

Welcome Jeremy!

A 14 gauge Parker in any configuration is not a common gun..... you have a rare bird for certain.
Yes, pictures please - we'd all be happy to see some nice pictures of your Grandpa's Parker.

Jeremy,

This serial number is too low to be in the stock or order books. How did you determine that it is a 14-gauge?

Richard

That's quite a unique shooting kit you have inherited.

Are the shell heads stamped 14? Can you show us a picture of the all brass shell heads?

All the brass and paper shell casings were stamped 14 gauge. Any thoughts on value?

Very nice back action lifter with a unique case and accessories. 14 ga to boot.
Congratulations on a wonderful family heirloom.
I have no idea on value.

I'd agree on the price as an heirloom. If you were to sell it, then I don't think you'd risk much with a $0.01 start, no reserve auction. I feel certain that gun and case would attract a fair amount of attention. Very nice, and thank you for sharing. As others have already stated - that's a pretty freaking neat gun case.

What does the old girl weigh? The gun?

Your question concerning value is legitimate. I don't know who could tell you how to properly insure that against loss. If that is an actual Parker Bros gun box from that era, then I would venture a guess the box itself is worth more than most VH grade shotguns on the market.

Jeremey, it would be impossible to post too many pictures of that gun, and case.
What a find!

Jeremy,

Very nice indeed. Can you post an image showing the top of the barrels with any print that may appear on the rib?

Also, Please post some photos of the paper and brass shells, particularly showing any printing or Headstamp that appears on them. Are the shells primed, or do they have nipples to receive the caps? The case is also most interesting.

Jeremy,

Can you post some close up pics of the shells, particularly showing any writing on the cases or Headstamp?
