#180323 20 gaDHE has the numeral 1 on the barrel lug, is this an inspection mark or indication of more than one barrel? For end iron has no number other than serial number.

Thanks,

I may have wrong term, the lug I am referring to is where the for end attaches.

It may be an indicator of 'barrel set #1' but without the corresponding 1 stamp on the forend iron, I doubt it.

Thank you, thought that may be the case. The 30" ones I have are quite nice, I will be sending in request for letter soon. This gun is told to be one of consecutive numbered guns that were ordered for twin boys, the one I have belonged to the brother who was the State of Tennessee game warden during some volatile times in the Reelfoot Lake area.

Scott, 180323 is a TI3 twelve gauge with 30" barrels whereas 180322 and 180324 are VH twelve gauge guns with 30" barrels.

Sorry Scott... I was reading in the dark. Yes, 180323 is a twenty gauge and 180322 is also a twenty but is a V grade. 180324 is a twelve gauge.

In my opinion, 180323 is a very desirable Parker twenty with 30" barrels and a straight grip.... NICE!!

Is 180324 a DHE?

It is a beautiful gun, it is choked cyl/ mod and I love this combination for birds and clays. I will post some pictures soon.

Thank you

For multiple barrels sets, the forend loops will usually be stamped 1, 2 or 3 for the number of the barrels. And the forend iron will also have the same number stamped on it by the serial number. Providing that there are multiple forends. Which if a gun was ordered with additional barrel sets, they included a separate forend. I have even observed that on a number "2" barrel, even the forend wood had a "2" stamped into it under the iron right next to the serial number.
