I have had great service from my berettas and many thousands of rounds with no trouble. Don't own a SxS by them but thought this was a nice gun. Any one shoot a 471?

I've seen some very lovely Beretta 687EELL over unders . And I know a good many skeet and trap shooters that swear by their Beretta's .

I on the other hand however have never thrown up a Beretta O/U that felt good to me . Same can be said about Perazzi's and until recently Kolar O/U's . Not saying they aren't wonderfull guns just after years of Krieghoff K-32's , Remington 32's and Remington 3200's the Beretta/Perazzi's don't feel good to me .

I on the other hand pick up an Italian gun and they all seem to feel and fit comfortably.

I'm not positive, but a friend of mine who I shoot with quite often, has a 471 in 20ga. He loves it and shoots it very well. The only issue he has had with it is the case coloring has worn off prematurely. Other than that it has been a sound gun.

The Beretta is a solid gun, well built from a quality gunmaker who I believe has been in business longer than any other gunmaker. I shot a 687 EELL for over a decade on registered skeet and I bought the gun used from someone who also bought it used.

If you like the gun I wouldn't hesitate.

It's all about what one is used to !

I am quite sure if I had started with sphagetti guns instead of saurkraut guns my opinion would be different .

I will say however I've thrown up a couple Fabri guns that felt very nice . One was actually a tubed skeet gun and the other a bird gun .

I use an old model 409 12 gauge ,these were one of the many precursors to the 471...it's a great gun ,light & handles great and locks up like a vault even though it had been run through the wringer before I got my hands on it .These show up here for little money at times ...I picked up a 16 for my buddy in about 90% cond for $500.00 just a while back

I don't think you could go wrong with one personally .

I have a trouble free 12ga 471 with 28" barrels that I've had and used for several years. It is a little heavy, but not as heavy as some 28" Parkers that I have. I have handled, but do not own a 20ga 471. When I handled them they seemed very heavy for a 20ga and a little ungainly. Just my feelings.
