Rework price

If a fella were to buy one of those $800 parkers from guns international, a worthy one with the basics intact. What might a reputable shop charge to do it all over with new wood, case color, blue, tuning, ect.. Doing all this modestly fancy, what might one expect to pay for this service? Ballpark figures of coarse.

On an $800 gun far more than it will ever be worth. Be patient and you will find one already done for half of what it will cost to have it done, and there will be no waiting to get it back. Just my 2 cent.

You might try the Turnbull Manufacturing website. He has prices for various work that could be done. You add 'em up

As stated earlier, when restoration costs are added to acquisition cost you will exceed market value. You do it for the enjoyment of shooting and owning a Parker. If you think you will do a restoration to make a return, you might after a number of years have passed. And even then maybe not. Get a letter and see how close your Parker is to original. The closer it is to the letter the less I would restore. Do what it may need functionaly, but do not alter it from original. IMHO.

I have worked with both Turnbull and Brad B. It is expensive but it is not undertaken to add value. For me it was sentiment in one case and eye appeal in the others. It might make you happy but it won't make you money. Simply a personal decision.

I think its usually between 3,000-5,000$ in that ball park
