Looks like a good, honest 0 or 1 grade Parker hammer gun. What is the gauge?

You have a great piece of family history there. I would get a professional gunsmith to check it out and shoot it if safe. These old guns are fun to shoot. Most of us shoot RST shells in our Damascus or Twist barrels. Another question: how long are the barrels?

the book says grade 0 - should have 30 inch twist barrels
there are records for a letter on this gun, that may tell you were it was shipped, and occasionally who ordered it
nice gun. great family history - have it checked out and then order some RST shells

OH is correct it has 30 inch barrels.
I have shot it before, when my grandfather and I went with to a turkey shoot about 30 years ago before he pasted. The condition hasn't change sense then been. The stock does have a crack in it that I would like to get fix.

I noticed the crack and it looks like something that can be fixed by a good gunsmith. I just used Brian Dudley with great results. There are others you can find on here that are good too.

I just bought one just like it. These guns shoot just great. Have the broken stock fixed and shoot the heck out of it (with the propper ammo of course).
