Has there ever been any thought about having a PGCA set up at an OGCA show?

It sure has been a few years since we displayed there. Maybe we should try and get some kind of regional display with members from MI, OH, IL, Ky etc

It don,t have to be with the annual display show. The L C Smith guys just have tables at a regular show.

I displayed parkers at the wilmington OGCA show with Mr Glen Hoffeker several years ago Mr Glen passed several years back and I just did not want to drive from VA to ohio, but would do it again if others were interested in displaying parkers we could smokem! regards Gary

Gary; I remember you and Glen being at Wilmington. He was a fine man and I know he was a good friend of yours. He even drove and set up when OGCA had a show at Milan which is 170 miles further north. I don,t have much to display but I would help to sell tickets and sigh up new members.

Gordon, I would be interested in setting up a couple or three tables with other members I am still a member of OGCA would be fun what say you fellows Eric? I would take my motor home set up in parking lot if they still allow that,

I am sure I could talk Terry into coming and maybe I would do a setup of skeet guns or the DH's (minus the DH 20 ga damascus that I don't have and some members will not sell:cuss:) And Gary you could do your hammer guns..
And if we can get this worked out bring some of that "grape juice".

Gary & Eric; I talked with a director this AM and he gave me Lauras number who kind of runs things. She said they would love to have us. You can park the motor home - just not real close to where they unload. She sure the tables would be complimentry but not to sell - only to display.

July has always been a bit slow at OGCA and it is also rather short notice. I'm not trying to influence anyone's decision, just putting in my two cents. I am still paying dues and haven't been to a show for several years.

"Guess I would tempt a certain person with a DH 20 damascus no on second thought I will leave it home"

That's the last gun I need for my collection Gary.....! Remember when you needed a 8 ga P grade fluid steel gun for your collection.... Tell you what I'll display all of the D grades flluid and damascus and you just bring your 20 DH damascus and drop it in the display to finish out the collection..

Eric, I sold the gun you need four year ago, Do not drool when you read this! This is from the letter I recieved from Kirby. Serial # 169817 was ordered on August 11 1914 and shipped on November14, 1914 to Keesler Hardware Co of Salisbury N.C. According to Order book 91 it was a DHE hammerless 20ga. it featured damascus barrels with a length of 24" I might can find the name of the person I sold it to in my records if you want me to look I found out later they only made 1-2 with 24" barrels in Damascus

Eric also the gun was in pristine condition the guy at the hardware store bought it for his son but for whatever reason he did not give it to him. I researched this gun salisbury historical Assc several years ago
