Will the Major Waldron's shoot be happening this year? Hope so!

I hope so too....

Hey Pete - what's the plan?

I'll be there. Always a lot of fun. Will it will be 70 degree T shirt weather here in New England like it was in 2012?

In tradition, I'll be stuffing the big Parker 5 frame again with BP.

I'm be happy to open up the club on NYD (I still need to check to be sure there is no competing event on the clubs schedule before committing). I sort of got the sense in the last year couple of years that interest in the NYD shoot was waning a bit, but I do understand it's a long drive for many folks and the next day is a work day for some. Weather as you know has been 70 degrees to below zero wind chills so who knows what to expect.

I think the fact that January 1 has been on weekdays for the last couple of years has hurt attendance/enthusiasm but "if you make it I will come".

Show of hands?

I will be there with lasagna again if happens. That big 10 sure was fun to shoot Frank! The shoot is always a lot of fun....especially the protection and elimination shoots. One of these years I will have a 10 gauge....still looking!

New Year's Day is only a little over two weeks away... I sure hope we get more than the four shooters who have responded so far. Please let Pete know if you'll be there if he can make it happen.

I'm in for sure!

Although nearby, I probably won't be there this year. Best to all who do happy holidays, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Where will this shoot take place? I'm not familiar with Waldrons?

Hello Pete... Any news for us?

For those interested in attending I will once again open up the Major Waldron's Skeet and Trap fields for a New Year's Day shoot.

Shooting will start at 9AM and I will be at the club by 7:30 to get things set up and turn the heat on.

I will send out a confirmation message the shoot is on around 5:30AM. Right now the weather forecast looks to be good but very cold so dress accordingly.

Cost per round is $5 for non members of the club.

I will bring hot dogs and buns, please feel free to bring any food you would like to share. The club has coffee, water and soda available.

Directions to the club can be found here. http://www.majorwaldron.com/web/about/index.htm

Bring your tightest shooting gun of any guage and we can shoot an elimination aka Annie Oakley. If we have at least 10 shooters and five 10 guage guns we can try another 10ga backing up a smaller gauge from the 27 yard line.

Pete - Maybe a new thread would be a good idea to make the announcement.
