I have just come in possession of a 1923, AH4 Parker. I feel that it needs someone who is familiar with Parkers to look it over and make any adjustment to it so it can be safely fired.

I live in Dayton, OH. Can you put me in contact with someone in the area who is familiar with this model of Parker?

Thank you, in advance, for your help

Look up Kenny Graft here on this forum.

What is a "AH4 Parker"?

Can you show some pics?

Dean, the 4 on a keyboard is very near the E key, I suspect its an AHE?

You will have to excuse my ignorance on all of this. I am very new to the whole gun thing. Additionally, I am not near the gun and I am doing this from memory. Here is what I know.

Serial #: 201826
I saw the letters A & H stamped into the flats along with the #4
I could not get a good look at the barrel lug as the gun was not disassembled. I thought I saw the #12 on the lug, but that doesn't coincide with the technical data page. So maybe I saw a 1/2?

Any help with this is appreciated.

You have a SC grade single barrel trap gun. 12 gauge with 32" barrels. The stock doesn't appear to be original and the metal looks to have been recolored. Possibly a DelGrego redo. Very shootable if in good mechanical condition.

What does SC grade mean? Again, I am a newbie. Can you provide any direction as to where to find info about DeGrego?

Nathaniel, the SC was one of the grade designations for Parker single barrel trap guns. If you go to the Parker Collectors home page and click on grades, more information and illustrations of each grade are available. While the following statement is an giant oversimplification, basically the SC grade SBT guns had the same level and quality of finish and relative amount of engraving coverage as a CH or grade 4 double barrel model would. The Parker Story is recommended to anyone with an interest in Parkers. There is a chapter on the Parker Single Barrel Trap gun, another on stocks and yet another on finishing. As stated by Chuck, its very clear that the subject SC grade SBT has an unfortunate replaced stock and redone case colors that are not Parker correct. The work is so far off that I doubt that it was done by the Del Grego's.

The "A" would indicate Acme Steel barrels.
