Hello this is Bruce Willis. I have been a member for several years and really enjoy the information on this forum. I live in california and have observed that most of the PGCA events are on the east coast. I wonder if we could have a "western" or something for the members who live on the west coast. I myself like many others have to work etc, and to travel to the east coast is a 2500 to 3000 mile journey. Any ideas on having some events on the west coast? Thanks BW.

Hi Bruce,

The PGCA banquet & meeting are true PGCA events. Other events you see us talking about are more on the informal side but just as much fun. The "New Years Day Shoot" in NH and the spring shoot at Addieville Farm in RI are organized by a couple of PGCA members and announcements are made here on the forum.

These informal shoots are great fun and helps us to get to know each other. We also get to look at, handle and shoot some wonderful Parkers.

If you have a commercial sporting clays course near by or if you belong to a club that has shotgun sports, I suggest you talk to them about access to you and fellow PGCA members. Then set a date and make your announcement, leaving plenty of time to talk it up and people to reserve time on the calendars.

Start your own Parker Shoot, it really isn't a lot of work,

Good shooting

Good advice from Robin! And Bruce, if there aren't enough Parker owners/shooters within a reasonable radius of a shooting club in your area you can make it a SXS shoot for shooters of any make of SXS shotgun, Parker, Fox, L.C. Smith, Winchester, Remington, European guns of many makes, etc. These kinds of events are great venues to get to know each other and interact with people with the same interests. It's also a good way to be "in the loop" when certain guns come to market before the guns actually hit the internet sales and auction sites.

Bruce,

Are you a member of the PGCA or a forum member? If you are a PGCA member you have the membership list with contact information, you could use that to find fellow PGCA members in your area and try to organize a day outing. If you don't have access to a good location they may have one.

Just a thought.

As a fellow Left-coaster I know just what Bruce is talking about. Supposedly one of the English makers is planning something at a clays facility in Washington this summer. We have a small group of SXS shooters that meet up once-a-year at Mitchell's Sporting Clays in Oregon. If I can find the email on the Washington event I'll post it here.I will post it here

Dave; if you find out about a shoot in WA by all means post it here. "Have Holland & Holland, Will Travel." Thanks, KBM
