Greetings all,
I have done some research regarding my Dad's old Parker. When I got it there were two different stocks. I looked at the serial numbers the stock that was attached to the barrel did not match. The unattached stock did match. I seem to remember my Dad buying a stock from the police department after they burned the barrels.

Here is what I do know. The matching serial numbers (57685) from what I can find, is from 1889. The other stock with serial number (60316) is from 1890. The markings that I see and with the Damascus barrels suggest that it is a GH Grade 2.

I have uploaded several pictures of the gun onto flickr.

Your barrels are of a 10 gauge and the receiver is from a 12 gauge. The barrels have been blued hiding the damascus pattern. You said your father bought the receiver/stock from the local police after they destroyed the barrels? (Another bad gun off the streets.) Despite your excellent pictures, it's difficult to determine a value. The condition of the bores is important, as well as if the barrel ribs are tight. It could have been hot-blued and that is detrimental. More questions than answers I know, but if it checks out I'd put a rough value on it of no more than $750.

The 57685 gun is a ten gauge Grade 2, GH or EH, #2 size frame gun with 30"
barrels, which, by the pictures seem to be blued Damascus Steel. It looks like a pretty nice gun with better metal than wood with a piece broken out of the toe of the stock. The blue finish on the barrels is incorrect and a collector would insist that the Damascus finish be renewed. Nice gun that someone would be interested in at $500 to $1200 depending on the condition of the bores.

Ed and Bill, Thanks so much for your feedback! I do have the original stock for the barrels. However, I do have an additional stock (evidently from a 12 gauge according to Ed). Yes the Damascus barrels where blued but not sure of the process they used to do it. Here is a picture that might give someone a clue:

You can see where the bluing stops and the original Damascus brown remains.

Also, here is the barrels with the original stock:

Please let me know if this makes sense to you.
Thanks again,
Scott
