I will FAX an FFL copy to the Annual Meeting to make my receipt of the raffle gun legal. Dean can send it to me via any member who is coming through Maryland on the way home. I will miss the festivities.

Bill:
Just in case you don't win, can I have my raffle gun shipped shipped to you then we can meet and shoot it? I'll miss the event and wish all a safe trip and good time. I'll especially miss the 20ga. display as I have a few interesting ones with cool provenance.

Bill and Darryl, you guys will be missed too. It's going to be harder to beat those Fox guys without you, but we'll still make pretty short work of 'em.

John and Everyone -

The Annual Meeting and Banquet was a great success!
We grossed more in the Silent Auction than last year - the exact figure will be announced soon but I believe it was something like $4,795.
The raffle gun ticket sales were right up there as well and that figure will be available soon too. It was a beautifully refinished Damascus DH 12 ga. done by Brad Bachelder.
Attendance at Addieville and the Vintage Cup could have been better and that fact might be partially attributable to the fact that it was the third weekend in a row where SXS events took place in widely separated geographic locations. The two big-top tents were packed with vendors like Vintage Firearms (Jay Shachter), Steve Barnett, Griffen & Howe, and many, many others. It wasn't for a lack of effort on anybody's part but probably the economy and the closely spaced very similar events. We had attendance from all corners of the country but just not highly represented. The vendors were disappointed but those of us who were there enjoyed being able to spend valuable time with people without having to worry about crowds in the tents or long lines waiting to shoot. Addieville has an excellent and challenging sporting clays course and for the scheduled shooting events the course was divided into two courses, small-bore and large-bore. The weather was perfect - high sixties/low seventies, cloudless skies and virtually windless. Couldn't ask for better.... plus the foliage is really starting to get quite colorful.

To summarize - We has a blast!!

Thank you for the update. Sounds like a great time by all.
Any word on where the Vintage Cup will be next year?

The BOD discusses these questions each year and there is much to discuss. It will take a lot of thought and a lot of give and take. The members of the BOD don't always agree with each other on such issues and that is a very good thing because each of us has only the best interests of the PGCA in mind when we differ in opinions. It usuaally works out for the best and we still stand behind our decision on Addieville in Rhode Island this time. It was truly an excellent event in every respect.

We will announce next year's location when we make that decision.

huh?

Mr Romig,

Please read my post. I was asking where the Vintage Cup will be next year.
Will it be at Addieville again next year? Usually Ray P makes an announcement at the end but no one I have talked to heard anything about next year.

Mr Truitt, I beg your pardon. Apparently I didn't read you post as well as I had thought I had. In answer to your question - I don't know where the Vintage Cup will be held next year but I do know that Ray generally plans that his event will be at the same location for as many years as he and the facility owner can agree on.
