Babe Del Grego is the first fellow, I do not know the other fellow. Possibly the building is where the work on Parkers was done at the Remington plant in Ilion.

Babe and our own Mr. Kevin McCormack. In the back ground is the last remainig Parker gun works building. This building was the shipping office for the gun works. In the attic of this building was were all the hang tags that the PGCA now owns were found. The building was for sale a couple of years ago for $60.000. Also I heard a rumor that the company that makes the "Parker Bros. Makers over/under were thinking of buying it. When I was there last May I think it was still a machine shop.
Dave,Did you take this picture at the Meriden Homecoming in 2003?

You got it exactly right Dave June 21, 2003. It was especially memorable to me as a new member in the PGCA looking to learn everything I could about The Parker Gun Co. The whole day was filled with Parker information from the display presented by the PGCA, the visit to the historical society as well as the visit with Dr. Borsuks at Wilbur Parkers home. Getting to spend time with Babe, his lovely wife and son Lawrence as well as meeting and having lunch with Kevin and Dave in Yalesville provided an opportunity to discuss and learn more about the Parker Gun. It was a very memorable time for those that were fortunate enough to attend.

Dave you have it all right. I've been playing on my Wife's laptop and discovered the pictures of that great PGCA trip had been loaded on her computer?!? No memory of how that happened.

Dave, Thank you for the picture.Unfortunatly I took no pictures of that entire event. That was a pretty busy weekend for me and after I loaded guns and stuff I forgot my camera! If you have any other photo's I would really like to see them.I do have a few pictures that were published in the local paper though.

Babe told everyone who asked the same question that it was him on the left and "Mr. Peanut" without his full-dress peanut shell suit on the right; flown in special by Planters for the Meriden Homecoming. BTW; that hat cost me a lot of dough!
For those of you interested in the ultimate in Parker trivia, notice the tall green vegetation just to the rear of the railroad track, framed by the dilapidated red brick building in the rear? That's where the privvy was located before Parker Bros. moved into the modern age. I can hear Wilbur now; "I'll be back in a minute; tell them to hold that train."
