I have been advised that in honor of the twentieth anniversary of the PGCA, the featured gun for this year's annual meeting will be the 20 gauge Parker.----Bring 'em on boys!!!!!!!!!!! Show your stuff!!!!!!

That's right Darryl - The "People's Choice" display and award will be the Parker twenty gauge guns. So, like Daryl says, "Bring 'em on."

Now that would be something to see. I have a DHE 30 inch vent rib gun with all the options and about 90%CC but how to get it there??

Send it to me and I'll bring it.

Twentieth anniversary?? I feel like I've been here for seventy five years. BUT NICE!

Dean while I appreciate the offer I really don't want to ship it there and have it shipped back, it's just to much of a chance something will get lost or broken. I hate shipping guns, in fact I took the CHE 20 to Russ Bickel and thats how I first shot Hausmanns.
It's just a DHE and there are lots of them and there will be nicer ones there than this. If I was going I'd bring it.

Rich, I'm bringing the Adm. Perry DH 20 and every other gun will be nicer than mine.

Thats a nice gun with a great history. I have never been to an annual meeting, but its bird season and that for me takes precedence. I bought a nice DHE from a PGCA member a couple of years ago that will letter with a 15 inch LOP to a SSBP and sling swivels:shock: Who in their right mind would put sling swivels on a Parker???

Ahem. My nine pound DH 32" duck gun has swivels, probably factory, and I wouldn't be without them.

One walk-in duck hunt carrying the gun, shellbag, stool, and decoys and Rich will be soldering swivels on every Parker he has that has any chance of ever going to the duck marshes....

I have no intention of going into any duck marsh so my guns will remain swivel free except for the aformentioned DHE 20.

Rich I have a 30" barreled GH 16 Ga that lettered with sling swivels. Why put sling swivels on such a small gun???

It would be interesting to find out if those guns, ordered with swivels from the factory, were in fact ordered by someone of recent German descent. Just a thought.

I have a copy of the letter somewhere for my DHE. It's more interesting to me that it was ordered with a 15 inch LOP.

I can see swivels on a waterfowl gun but on a small bore upland gun??? My gun has 28 inch bbls, PG, SSBP, and splinter forarm. Nothing massive about this small bore O frame gun.

I have seen orders for swivel guns that went to Mexico.

My 30" DHE 16 lettered with swivels too.

I wish they would feature the common 12ga low grade guns. I'd have something to enter:bowdown:

Chuck, do you mean "Draggin' Guns"?

Most of the A.H. Fox guns ordered by the big dealer in Havana, Cuba, and the big dealer in Norway were ordered with swivels.

I have also seen swivel Parkers sent to Cuba. I love swivel guns. They sell for so much less money than non swivel guns.

Rich Anderson

I doubt they sell for any more with the swivels but less, I doubt it:nono:
Maybe swivel guns can be a theme for some meeting or the Southern.

Without provenance, I believe they sell for less. Mine did. I will show up at a PGCA function some day with my swivel equipped 32" DHE over my shoulder, and a speed bag over the other. I misspoke on an earlier post and described it as a DH Grade. It is a DHE.

Chuck, The late Mr Glen Hoffecker use to tell me that the Trojan his dad bought, and passed down to him was his A-1 special. He talked about the gun very often, how his dad saved for several months to be able to buy it, some of these guns just have to be passed on to our children, and kept in the family, hopefully put to the use as intended by the brothers Parker, Gary

Gary, don't worry, I wouldn't trade or sell the two Parkers (SC & PH) from my grandfather for all the A-1 Specials Parker made. My low grade Parkers are all nice conditioned guns even though they are all 12 gauge.
