I wanted to congratulate two members of our club and wish them good luck with their new gun shop located in Central Pa. Jared Valeski and Tom Pollock have built a beautiful shop and operate as Ironmen Arms and Antiques. They are not only avid and very knowledgeable Parker collectors but have other fine shotgun and rifles in their collection. If you have ever met them you know they are both honorable and dedicated to our passion of the guns. If you get to that part of Pa. you would be well served to visit them.

Bill, it's in Catawissa, near Bloomsburg and Elysburg.

I visited there a few weeks ago when they were working on the building and I dropped off a research letter. It's gonna be really nice. Jared and Tom are great guys.

Bill , This is Kevin Sauers who started the post. I live in Catawissa by Tom and Jared. You gave me some insight sometime back on a 10 gauge LC Smith Specialty grade with steel barrels that I have. I would like to show you or shoot if you have some time. However, since it is the Parker forum, I have the ahe, bhe, che and a couple of d grades that can be shot for pleasure( I bought with good guidance from Jared and Tom Pollock) As a matter of fact, Jared has a wonderful young bird dog that I shot the first bird it pointed with a BHE with a articulated trigger at Martz's game farm. Jared and Tom have some wonderful guns to shoot if they get them out. Interesting comment on the Polish aspect..........Obviously a Valeski and a Pollock...........Just sayin.....

Yup, I have a couple of Parker bird guns and a German Wirehaired Pointer and spend some time driving around Pennsylvania. My family originated in Hazleton and close by and I can't wait to visit Thanks for letting us know about the new business.

Any relationship to J.D. Shank's Ironman Antiques in Tannersville?

Dave, I doubt it. When I looked up "loner" in Webster's Seventh Edition, J.D.'s picture was next to "loner".

Ironic, I just came across there website and bookmarked it since I am close to there. Seems like a nice website, I am just waiting for them to have something I can't live without to go visit them in person.

We will be looking forward to seeing all of the close by members at the shop. For those who live further away, here is a link to our web site. We try to update it weekly.
