nice turkey looks to be a reo turkey...what distance was the kill and what load was used..really good picture... charlie

Thanks, fellers. Yes, our birds are the Rio Grande's. bird numbers are down as a result of two years hard drought. This two year old feller was a bit reluctant to come in but finally curiosity got the upper hand. Fifteen yards max. Load was 1 1/4 oz #5 lead in front of IMR 4856.

We ended up with only one shotgun between us. Went in my truck and while Jim was putting his stuff in mine during the dark of night he forgot his gun! So, we shared, which wasn't a problem since one gun is enough on a hunt like this.
