Recently purchased a GHE mfg. 1912. The research letter said that the gun was ordered with a lyman front site and a silvers butt pad. Does anyone have any thoughts on what a lyman front site should look like ? I'm familiar with the standard nickel silver mushroom and the ivory beads that you see on some higher grade guns. I would post a picture of the existing site but I'm to low tech with cameras and computers, sorry. Thank you all for any input or info. Mark

A Lyman front sight would have been an ivory bead --

Thank you very much ! I thought this might be the case but I lack enough experience with vintage doubles to be certain. Your reply is appreciated. Mark

Thanks Dave. There it is in black and white right from Remington. The rear ivory bead is placed "eighteen inches from the muzzle sight."
