Looks like it was made for 'buck and ball'. Shot in one bbl, ball in the other.

Actually "buck and ball " was a load in a single barrel.

The Brown Bess was often loaded with one ball and three buckshot. Quite devastating in volley fire.

latest input seems to suggest that barrels are of Spanish origin. the sun motif on the breech block is a dutch symbol. and the locks look Belgian...any other opinions?
