Thank you, I'll have ro look into that for the.barrels. I have found a thread that my father posted some years ago and he stayed.that the gun had been in his mother's basement since 1957 when my Grandfather passed away. I know for sure that it has not been fired since that time.

And there’s that pesky M stamp where the stamp of the barrel steel is found.
Plain Twist barrel flat stamp is a T with a crescent above and below it. We may never know what this M signifies. .
