Hi John I checked our records the NSFL 20-39 gun you see is how we sold it. 26" and 28" barrels. The space you see is incase someone wanted 2 28" barrels. Thanks

All is well with both gun and case. The case is merely missing the spacer for the 26" barrel srt.
