The Old Pats Society doesn’t have a ‘camp’ per se. They have gathered at various grouse camps over the years. Some have become favorites. I have been fortunate enough in the last four years to have been invited to join them and enjoy the wonderful camaraderie of this wonderful group of gentlemen in their hunts and in the evening entertainment. I hope I’ll be invited again this year. Art keeps promising “This is my last hunt.” but we know better. But on his true last hunt he’ll be dragged from the birch and alder tangles with a very special 28 gauge DHE clutched tightly against his breast. This we know.
And yes, they do indeed have a .410 day each year.
