The seller describes this gun as having "best exhibition wood" -- that's open for debate, but it does have a very nice, well-figured dark piece of Claro. I'm noticing the prices creeping up on high-condition Repros, this twenty has an ask of over $7K, there's also a 28ga. 2-bbl. set for sale at $9500...get 'em while you can!

Greg, why is that not exhibition grade wood, just curious your thinking? It has incredible figure and is consistent on both sides. I'd call that exhibition quality, but I'm no expert. I'd sure like to learn more.

I see in your picture for the (left) MOD choke but we can't see the stamp for the right side choke.

I believe that stock is indeed exhibition quality. I did not mean at all to say that it's not, I'm sorry if you took it that way. I just don't know if I would term it best exhibition quality - with emphasis on best. Beautiful wood, like women, is in the eyes of the beholder. If there's an issue I have with calling that piece of wood best exhibition quality is what appears to be pin knots on both sides of the stock. Nonetheless, I don't think that it would taint anyone's gun cabinet -- I'd love to have it in mine.
