Ha! The cacophony of barking hounds. To each his own. Some folks even call “jazz” music. I guess I prefer the hounds.

Craig, I had to read this twice. I thought for a minute this was a new culinary sensation -- bunnies and bagels. I thought it was maybe like rabbit on toast, but hey, beagles, bagels, whatever spellcheck gives you.

BUT, you now have me thinking I might need to dig out my 26" VH and go behind the house in the snow and trail a few bunnies. I've got 20 acres of good bunny habitat out my back door. If only I had some bagels...er...beagles.

That wasn’t spell check , that was intentional I’ve got a VHE 20 26” that hasn’t killed anything but skeet targets I might take that if it works out I go with them again .

I love hunting with beagles. My dad always kept several at the farm. We hunted them all winter. There are two type of beagle owners. Those who gun hunt with them and those who run them at night. The night runners are the ones who do it just to sit around a fire and listen to the hounds.

Rabbit is excellent table fare, I can't imagine going rabbit hunting just so I can hear a dog bay...... But, to each their own I rek'n.

I grew up hunting rabbits over dogs back in the 70's.... We used to raise a litter now and then. Been a couple years now since I hunted them over dogs, I will probably walk my place sunday with a 16ga in hand, as Archery deer season closes on Saturday.
