Here are my thoughts. If it books as a GH and it is now a GHE, it would have been either upgraded to ejectors at a later date, or a Parker addition. I too have a GHE that letters as a GH and the Ejectors are no doubt original.

The case colors on the gun are redone, as you know and they look good. The buttstock is a replacement that is not of 100% correct form and the wrist checkering is not correct either. Forend appears to be original.

Given the above and that it has been fitted with replacement barrels, it doe snot have any corrector value and would be considered a shooter.

That being said, the price is a reasonable one for a shooting gun and if it fits you well, then great purchase!

I second my appreciation of the wood it is spectacular. The case hardening is attractive. You should enjoy this one.

The compliments you are going to receive when you carry the gun will always make you feel like you made a good purchase.

Default Free gun

1950 would not pay turnbulls bill for the restoration. Sounds like gun was free. Very pretty.

My first Parker in hand! Brian Dudley was spot on in his assessment. The serial number identifies it as GH, but it certainly has electors. When and where this was done, I don't know. The stock is a replacement with lovely wood, a nice oil finish and good shooting dimensions. Every screw looks perfect, engraving preserved, case colors very nice. Whoever did the restoration, it was an excellent job. I should have the original set of damascus barrels soon. I will post pics of the gun and barrels. Overall, I'm thrilled and happy to be a new Parker Owner.

Oh yes, as Brian observed, the forend and forend iron are originals. It's on a 1.5 frame. The reproduction barrels are 26 in, from a DHE and look great on the gun.

Congrats on contracting a horribly wonderful and seemingly incurable disease. We've all got it, now you do too!
