Sounds high for just a "shooter" condition gun.

We need more than just 20ga VHE shooter. A description of the gun would help.

Seems high for a "shooter".
Check out Steven Hodges beautiful Trojan 20 in fantastic condition for less money. Also Bob Fabian just sold a 20 VH for less money.

Ejectors generally increase the value, even though I don't care one way or the other. The trend seems to favor longer barrels, so 28" is a plus. When you consider that a 26" VH is selling above $3000, if the gun you're considering has any condition, $4000 is in the right neighborhood. Just my opinion.

Posting those pictures you have here will be a big help. It's easy.

Steve sent me some pictures by text on my phone if I knew how to put them from the phone to this forum I would do it, but I do not
So I’ll give you my take on what I saw the gun looks all original with a original looking Hawkins pad Good blue 20 to 30% case color great checkering, looks like about 70 to 80% original blue wood looks good with lots of original finish and good sharp checkering. It’s a gun that I would be proud to own.
