Default The Earliest Pigeon

In another thread we began searching for the highest serial number the of last known SC SBT with only scroll engraving on the trigger plate. Introduced in 1917, they are purported to have changed to Pigeon engraving after the first year of production. Yet, Bobby Grilli has 185102 in his collection which was made in 1919 and may be the last on with that engraving style. So, what is the EARLIEST known (surviving) SBT with the pigeon on the floor plate?

Hi Mike, I was on the same thought pattern as you that in fact 185102 may be close to the last of the early engraving style prior to the Pigeon showing up. It would be interesting to see when the Pigeon started to arrive on the scene.

Thanks!!

Bobby
