For what it’s worth, I corresponded with the owner of Cornell over email and she indicated the repro they offer is just a replica of original scans sent in by a contributor without altering the coloring. So, there exists or existed a green version somewhere…

A collection of repro, not the Winchester Repro, Parker Brothers catalogs is another interesting collection category. Of course, the Cornell repros are a bit expensive to accumulate.

Who amongst the collecting community that visits here has a printing background? The thing that struck me about the 1903 Burgundy or crimson catalog that helped me conclude it was original, was the gold sheen the cover has When viewed from low angle. Gold was used in making deep red pigments for many years until newer less costly minerals/metals were found. Just as it was for deep blues from Cobalt. I expect the greens were copper based. I no longer have access to a x-ray fluorescence analyzer. Perhaps someone in our community does.
