I would say that getting burned, a result of miscalculated value, is the result of a lack of experience in the things I listed.

All valid points Andy and I have no arguments with any of them. All I can offer is that whenever we’re together at some venue or event and there is a Parker you may have questions about, please ask for my opinions and to demonstrate how I arrived at them. I am always more than happy to share anything I know.
Trust me, I am no guru in these matters but I have taken a very keen interest in learning and remembering what I’ve learned.
There are several collectors whom I look up to as true guru’s or sensei’s.
I’ve said it before… I learn something new everyday.

But you’re right Andy and I’ve said this too… a lot of us are aging out of this and soo much experience will be lost… even if we share what we know.

Thank you Dean. I am not saying hands on and time aren't needed, but I will sure take you up on it. Hope to make it to Sanford this year and leave with something else in tow.

If a Parker is "Right" paying a bit more is well worth it. Problem is it's nearly impossible to tell long distance with photos. Sellers reputation may overcome reluctance and I would trust Albrights description by telephone. They are very good.

I've sold off number of SxS Lever Action and Single Shot guns lately. Building cash for the "right" Parker. If it satisfies me won't quibble over cost.

The only reason that I didn't bid it up to at least $1750 is because I did not know what the frame size was. I want an 0 frame gun.

You have much to learn Grasshopper. The only "0" frame Trojans are 20 gauge guns. 16 gauge guns are 1 frame guns and 12 gauge guns are 2 frame guns. Never say never but I've never seen any other variations

I guess I learned something today. I still want to eventually get an 0 frame Parker, as I have 2-1 framed 12 gauges. Thanks for teaching me something.

You're welcome. Get the serialization book and the Parker Story. You will learn a lot and can become somewhat versed in the Parker world
